T1 Lines Defined and DS1 Technology Solutions

T1 Lines are very valuable when it comes to business. A T1 Line is much more reliable than DSL because of the SLA guaranteed by the ISP and it is dedicated so there isn't anyone who shares the connection with the subscriber. When a T1 Line of High-Speed Internet is connected to the World Wide Web/Internet over fiber, dedicated copper or Ethernet using a telecommunications standard that was developed by AT&T/Bell Labs for North America/United States/Canada and Japan it transmits data packets at a collective speed of 1.544 megabits per second (Mbps) and usually connects from the customer premise (CP) directly to an extensive fiber optic Internet Service Provider (ISP) backbone.

For those of you who are new to the T1 world, here is some information that may help bring some clarity to the issue. The terminology that is known as a "T-1" or "T1" is abbreviated for Trunk Level 1, which is a telecommunications standard for digital transmission under the Digital Signal Level hierarchy. A T1 over copper is delivered by connecting two pairs of twisted copper wires between the subscriber location and the telco providers central office also known as the (CO). One of the 2 twisted copper pairs is for transmitting data and the other pair is for receiving data. In conjunction, the 4-copper-wire transmission media carrying the digital signaling standard produces a full duplex symmetrical or bi-directional circuit. When a T1 delivered over fiber, a fiber pair is used as opposed to the 4-wire copper configuration as stated above. The copper solution is more common than the fiber, especially in rural area's.

The effectiveness of an Internet T1 over cable or DSL Internet service is that the total amount of 1.544 Mbps minus the .008 Mega bits per second for framing of available bandwidth is delivered by a T-1 connection that is guaranteed 24 x 7 x 365 by the Internet Service Provider under a Service Level Agreement (SLA) that dictates service reliability in precise terms. Also, when a T1 is not sufficient enough you are able to bond the T1's up to as many as 8 T1's commonly phrased as NxT1, the N standing for the number of T1 Lines to be bonded.

The end result is that a T1 is used to provide last mile Internet Access to an ISP's (Internet Service Provider's) Point of Presence also known as their PoP, a local loop is then delivered and T1 access is provisioned as 1.536 Mbps of bandwidth and a full 1.536 Mbps bi-directional plus the .008 Mbps of framing bits which equals the 1.544 Mbps. So before you go shopping for T1 Lines make sure that it is a true T1 and not one of those oversubscribed wireless circuits where the whole neighborhood is sharing the connection and is promoted in local markets for a ridiculously lower price that is traditionally sold on the T1 market.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

  • Whenever I try to insert or remove an SD card, the screen goes back up too quickly. What can be done about this?
    Instead of pressing the eject disk button, lower the screen incrementally so there's enough room to access the SD card slot.
  • You mentioned that this product is compatible with iPods and iPhones. Will my 3rd generation iPod Nano will work with it?
    We tested iPod compatibility using a 3rd generation iPod Nano 4GB. Furthermore, a second generation iPhone 3g was used to test iPhone compatibility.
  • When the DVD is playing I have trouble accessing the menu. What can be done?
    The secret to menu access is to remember that by touching the video playing portion of the screen you bring up the menu. If you tap outside of the video area you adjust the screen.
  • Your car DVD players are great, but the user manuals could do use some improvement. Any improvements there?
    This is one of the best car DVD players we've tested, but more surprisingly the user manual is great too. We're sure you'll find it very helpful.
  • Can this car multimedia system support USB drives and SD cards greater than 2GB?
    In our tests, we loaded media onto a 4 GB USB thumb drive and connected it to the car DVD player using a mini SD / female USB extension cable. The unit didn't have any trouble accessing the files. We also loaded media onto a 4 GB microSD, put that into an SD card adapter, inserted that into an SD card reader and connected the whole assembly to a mini SD / female USB extension cable. No problems there. We also inserted a 8 GB SD card into the SD media card slot and this also went smoothly.
  • What points of interest options are there?
    The existing options include: airport, amusement park, ATM, auto service, automobile club, automobile dealer, bank, bar, bookstore, border crossing, bowling centre, bus station, business facility, casino, cemetery, church, cinema, city hall, civic centre, coffee shop, commuter station, convention centre, county council, court house, data centre, embassy, entrance/exit, ferry terminal, golf course, grocery store, guest house, hairdresser, high-rise building, higher education, holiday resort, hospital, hotel, ice skating rink, insurance, karaoke, library, marina, media centre, medical service, monument, mosque, motorcycle dealer, motorway restaurant, museum, named place, nightlife, park & ride, parking garage, parking lot, performing arts, petrol station, pharmacy, police station, post office, public sport airport, recreation area, rental car agency, research institute, residential area, rest area, restaurant, school, second hand cars, shopping, ski resort, sports centre, sports complex, subway station, synagogue, technology centre, telecom, temple, toll station, tourist attraction, tourist information, train station, and winery. You can also create your own.
  • Does this cool in-car total solution support the Greek language?
    The main menu system does not support the Greek language. If your GPS software however, comes in Greek then the GPS "Voice" and "Text" will be in Greek. Most popular GPS software titles come in a variety of languages.
  • Are the magnetic bases of both the DVB-T and GPS antenna strong enough to be placed on a moving car?
    Yes, the antennas come with very powerful magnets. Not as strong as Magneto's mutant powers, but pretty strong. They'll stay stuck on despite the rockiest ride.
  • What GPS software comes with this car navigation powerhouse? Is it Route 66?
    Evalution GPS software is included, but purchasing your own GPS software is encouraged.

ways of making a better resume?

i finished my masters in telecomm, iam trying hard to prepare my resume but finding it difficult, where to start and what to put in....how to make it more better so that it can catch the eye of employer....plz help me regarding this and also provide suggestion....
i have done PG in telecom and networking......

Besides setting all margins to 1", the most important criteria for setting up a professional resume besides relevant text, is "scanability." Here are some helpful tips:

1. Place just below your identification header [your hame, address, phone, email address] any Conditional Warning Statement such as "Confidential Resume,"Do Not Contact Current Employer," etc.
2. Always fill-in an Objectives category [just below the Conditional Warning Statement] and make sure that he Objective will contribute to the profitability of your future employer;
3. Select a mono-type font such as Helvetica, Arial, Courier or Times Roman; do not select any cursive handwriting styles which cannot scanned;
4. Keep font sizes within a range of 10 to 12 pts.;
5. Avoid styling text with a justified alignment, keep it flushed left;
6. Instead of using tabs to set up blocked text entries, generate a table and use the column and row settings accordingly;
7. Do not place an i.d. picture anywhere on the resume, this is a major taboo due to discrimination issues;
8. Do not place any graphic text [saved as .gifs] onto the resume since it may be overlooked during the scanning phase;
9. List at the very end of the resume your interests which should include travel experiences, language skills, social interactions such as golf, team sports, tennis, etc.

In conclusion, the above helpful hints were designed to allow ease of scanning of your resume into PDF which can then be text captured for seach purposes by your potential employer. If the original resume was created in Word, WordPerfect or Mac Appleworks, it can be Saved As a PDF file which then can be saved as an email attachment. Otherwise, you can simply use a scanner and scan a hard copy of the resume and then save as a PDF file.

Failure to conform the resume to appropriate fonts and styles as outlined above will result in rejection of the resume simply due to the inability of the scanning device to properly index relevant resume entries.

Analysis of 3G Mobile Market Potential in the Indian Telecom Market - Bharatbook

Indian 3G Mobile Forecast to 2012 Report ( http://www.bharatbook.com/Market-Research-Reports/Indian-3G-Mobile-Forecast.html ) provides information about the trends and developments of Indian telecom market.

The Indian mobile market has recorded stupendous growth over the past few years on the back of easy availability of low cost devices, better network coverage and affordable services. The uptrend in growth is expected to continue in near future owing to the lower teledensity, which currently hovers at around 30-35%. Moreover, there is a wide gap between rural and urban areas in terms of mobile penetration. For instance – the mobile penetration in urban areas stood at around 70% in 2008 while in rural areas, it was pegged at less than 15%, indicating to the immense potential of Indian mobile market for future growth.

Nationwide deployment of 3G telecom services will help the country to bridge this huge gap, says our new research report, “Indian 3G Mobile Forecast to 2012”. The report anticipates that the number of 3G mobile subscribers will surge at a CAGR of more than 250% by 2012 provided various factors/issues, critical to this growth, are adequately addressed and resolved. Besides, the report includes thorough analysis of 3G market potential in the Indian telecom market.

The projected growth in the Indian 3G market will largely depend upon the decision of Indian government to auction 3G frequencies. At present, state-owned BSNL and MTNL have been allowed to rollout 3G services in India while rest of the operators will be issued 3G spectrum via auction. With the finishing of auction process, there will be massive investment in the domestic 3G deployments and the country will be able to reap the value of mobility by developing its telecom infrastructure for the propagation of this next generation technology.

The report also discusses factors and trends contributing to the nationwide deployment of 3G services. It also provides an extensive information on the market potential in terms of 3G subscribers, and studies key areas critical to the successful adoption of 3G services in India.

Four-year projection (2009-2012) has been given on :

* Mobile subscribers

* Internet subscribers

* Broadband subscribers

* 3G mobile subscribers

* 3G broadband subscribers

* 3G enabled handsets

* 3G enabled modems

The report has also identified important telecom market players in the country and provides brief overview along with their strength and weakness. These include:

* Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd

* Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd

* Bharti Airtel Ltd

* Reliance Communication Ltd

The Department of Telecom (DoT), on 30.9.2002 has terminated the Cellular Mobile Telephone Service license of M/s. Koshika Telecom Ltd., in U.P.(East) Circle. The license to Koshika was granted in December, 1995.
