Home Improvement Sales Training

Setting Your Goals In Sales Training

It doesn't matter if you are in an auto sales training, TV and radio sales, estate sales or time share sales in my conversations with sales management over the years, I've found that top producers all have one thing in common: they've taken the time to sit down and create goals for themselves and committed to sales training.

Even if during the sales seminar they were skeptical when they started the process of goal setting and planning, every one of them has become a true believer.

What Is A True Believer?

A "True Believer" isn't someone who just works sales leads. They are someone who has been amazed by the incredible power of goal setting and the power of their own mind to be sold on the sales job. Every one of them has accomplished far more than they ever believed possible even if they are in mobile home sales or business sales they are the ones that move up to the top.

It didn't stop with sales goals or material successes. This belief runs deep in all areas of their life. They're convinced of the power of the mind and want share that with the world. They just seem to live in a world that favors them. There life has become an extension of their sales attitude.

Are You Happy With Your Current Training?

I defined happiness in training as, The progressive assimilation of worth while skills that will help me to reach my professional goals. As a sales trainer, I have been working progressively, step-by-step toward making permanent lasting impact on every sales professionals life.

This purpose alone can generate a continuous feeling of success and achievement within me, but if it doesn't translate in your personal sales training it is all for not. The sales game has always been the more people you sell, the more successful you will be. As a sales professional, you have more control of this than almost every other profession. Geoff Thomas a sales associate is found of telling his sales staff, "Your raise is effective just as soon as you are."

I know you can create an environment of happiness for your customer through fabricated rapport skills but a genuine joy for sales will close more deals than you can imagine. Without your skills of salesmanship, there would be nothing for company to do. When you walk out of the office in the evening, it is natural for you to feel like a winner. This goal is well entrenched in the sales experts I know. It also gives you the psychological momentum to overcome obstacles and plough through adversity as you reach your sales goals and assist others.

Sales training more than anything else should have you recharged as you go back out into the world. If the sales seminar doesn't motivate you to work every sales lead more efficiently than why bother.

Does Your Training Connect With Your Values?

Every great trainer has a personal strategic planning process. It usually begins when you determine what you believe in and what you stand for - your values. If your values and the trainers match this is the glue that holds the core concepts of the sales training in place. These values shape our personality and our character as a sales professional.

Your virtues and qualities are the sum total of all your thoughts, actions and beliefs since the moment you were born. Your values, virtues and inner beliefs are the axle around which the wheel of your life turns. All sales improvement begin when you clarify your true values and commit yourself to live consistently with them. It's been said, "You must stand for something, or you will fall for anything!" Great sales trainers know the value of the sales process and believe every prospect they meet can find value in their product or services.

When Attending A Training How Specific Should Your Goals Be?

To achieve success in training you will find trainees are successful because they're very clear and committed to their values and specific outcomes from the training. Unsuccessful trainees are fuzzy or unsure they perhaps were forced to the training without a buy in from the sales manager.

When a training is a complete failure, you'll find that the trainer didn't clearly outline the real values of the training at all. These trainers stand for nothing and hope their audiences fall for everything.

While training the sales staff at Positive Changes, our sales staff had access to a wealth of resources designed to help them succeed in their goals. For instance, use the Sales Mastery series to stimulate your other-than-conscious and keep you on track with specific, clear and organized sales goals. They trained each franchise location to set goals for the day, week and the month. Using these mind trips within themselves helped them to enroll others into its use.

What kind of creative job can I get without any experience?

I have a couple of years of experience in retail sales, and I've worked at hotel front desk jobs. I want a better job. I have a high school diploma. I get excellent evaluations. I can study something on my own at home, but formal training is not realistic at the moment. A job where I am not on my feet for the entire day would be an excellent improvement. Mostly though, I'd like to sit down and actually work at a project. Making a decent wage is also a consideration. Any ideas?
PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO SELL ME A FRANCHISE OR MULTI-LEVEL MARKETING SCHEME!!!

I am preparing to hire telecommuters for customer service and to learn graphic design. I don't appear to have anyway to contact you on this site though. you could email me by the nick name you see on the screen and then @printsmadeeasy dot com

I've managed retail stores and I know how much work that can be and I also worked a hotel desk when I was younger. What I needed as I got older was a way to be home and use the internet, but have a real job, paid good and have some flexibility. Maybe that is the change you need?

Leadership Training Ideas

Leadership training in communication

Before proceeding further into this article first we must know who can be called a leader? There are many notions attached and ideas overflow as soon as one gets to hear the term leader. They quickly associate this person called a leader with dominance, and tyranny. He immediately becomes a person who embezzles people the way he wants because of his position and because of the authority and power with which he has been vested with.

But this is not the case truly. A good leader is a person who can get something done by any person under his guidance by making use of his skills and also by making him do something which he is most willing to do.

Now in a leadership training course in communication, one would learn how to overcome those difficulties and obstructions that come in between the leader and his subordinates. Opting for such a course does not mean that the person is suffering from low confidence level and complete lack of power to communicate. If he or she opts for such a course it is just the reflection of his spirit to perform better and learn or imbibe something different and new that can be improved on implementation.

There are many agencies that work on the development and training of leaders and how to train the leaders in such a way so that they can effectively communicate. The objectives of such courses are discussed briefly below.

The working of communication programs

Firstly as leaders you will be explained how does such a course operate? What are the things that are supposed to be expected from such a course?

Development of active responding skills

In order to be good leaders you should not only be a good speaker or an orator for that matter but also know how to listen to the problems of your subordinates. You will also be taught how to perceive things from the point of view of others who are working under your supervision.

Learning to manager your own assertions and assumptions

You will be taught how to believe and communicate with the decisions and assumptions that you take. Not only is an effective communication with others but with your own self also something worth learning. You will be taught to make an analysis of your own strengths and prowess.

Learn what can be your image in the eyes of your subordinates

You must be in a position to evaluate the image you must have acquired at any point of time in the eyes of your subordinates. This will help you to work in a better way with them and help you take future decisions better as leader.

So here are some of the important things that you can get to learn from such leader communication training courses.

Careers For Older Women - In Fashion

Imagine utilising your skills while you surround yourself in fashion? I am going to suggest for you that a career in fashion is an excellent career for older women. I am passionate at focusing on skill set to get to where you want to get to in your career. Let's look at fashion careers for older women.

Who said fashion is about youth? Certainly from reading glamour magazines and seeing how the general media portrays body image in fashion you would think so. But there are so many jobs that create a fashion business and I am going to let you know the one's that are prefect careers for older women.

Presentation is everything and in fashion it's the entire industries core value. There are a multitude of brands craving for the presentation and style of older women. In fashion retail and wholesale sales particularly I have had numerous requests for the presentation, reliability and commitment of an older woman. Successful Australian brands including Maggie T, Resort Report, Wombat, Dolina, Brown Sugar and many more rely on the presentation of older women to relate to their clients in the retail and wholesale environment. Better still some offer exceptional flexibility to attract older women to their careers including flexible hours and job share structure. Many of my clients have commented on the need to employ older women to relate to the brand and target customer and although it is not policy for them to discriminate should a younger person apply they have found huge success in attracting and employing older women to their brands especially in the retail environment.

Let's investigate the behind the scenes careers for older women. Over the years and during my days in Fashion Recruitment I have placed many older women into permanent and job share roles in Customer Service, Accounts and as Administrators. The attraction of employing a skilled older woman who may be interested in permanent part time or job share is highly attractive within a fashion head office environment. One of the pluses that employers are constantly quoting to me is that older women are reliable and tend to stay in the role for a long period of time thus providing consistency and sound relationships with customers. By providing flexibility many employers have realised that the benefit to the business is immeasurable. Older women feel that they are being valued by the employer and with this the loyalty that they give has a direct impact on sales and service levels.

The question begs... Is there room for older women in design, product development and brand management roles within a fashion environment? In this instance an older women making a career change into fashion may find obstacles in securing a role in these categories. Experience counts and making a move into a career in fashion in these categories relies on experience. In this instance my suggestion to you is to focus on your foundation skill set and transfer these skills into fashion. For example if you have been an administrator within another industry you could simply make the transition into fashion and create your career within a new environment. Attempting to move from an unrelated skill set into design, product development or brand management as an older woman may result in a lack of opportunities, however, if you have been in a design, product development or brand role within a fashion environment you have a future.

Reposition yourself within a brand applicable to your age and fashion purchasing habits. In design, product development or brand management your success is reliant on your understanding of the target market and what better understanding will you have if you are the customer? That's not to say that older women are not successfully designing youth brands, they are and always will. But in my opinion your understanding of the target market and adaptation to youth product as you get older can be challenging. If you strategically reposition yourself into a new target market and make use of your skill set you are guaranteed success.

In fashion careers for older women are also common within Senior Management and Operations. Youth is not a factor when it comes to Leadership and strategic business management and experience counts. If you have created your career within a fashion environment in operations and management you need to move with the times and adapt to the behaviours, drivers and thinking of the youth you employ. If you can successfully do this which means not adopt stale ideals of how thing were you have a great future. Your career drivers as an older woman may be completely different but your success and especially within a fashion environment is your ability to wholeheartedly embrace change and the youth of today.

One more thing; successful careers for older women within the fashion industry are incalculably reliant on your ability to move with the times without trying to be what you are no longer; young at heart will do just fine.

Should women be banned from politics & management & restricted from public unless attractive in bikinis ?

Women have grossly over rated their contribution to socity ! Agree ? Unless wearing a bikini at the beach, or at home cooking and cleaning or producing offspring (preverably a son), than what contribution do they make ? They actually hampen productivity in the workplace and erode hard working ethics, which men have constantly ruled the world with !

You're on the right track, old mate.

Are Farm Buildings Personal Property

What State Farm Florida Policyholders are Doing Today - Before Their Policy is Cancelled

State Farm Florida announced in January that it is leaving the Florida Property and Casualty Insurance Market. The only items yet to be determined are the details of the withdrawal plan and the timing around when the policy cancellations will begin.

Front and center are the estimated 700,000 State Farm Florida home insurance policies that are expected to be cancelled over a two year period - that's over 29,000 policies that will be cancelled each and every month for two years. No matter how you look at it, this is probably the most significant shock and disruption to the Florida home insurance market in history - and it could not be happening at a worse time.

For starters, many of those State Farm Florida home insurance cancellations will begin at almost the exact same time that Citizens Property Insurance Corporation will begin raising its rates in 2010 as required by state law.

Although dumping on big insurance in Florida has become one of our favorite things to do, here are some little known facts that won't ever make the coverage of State Farm Florida's planned withdrawal from the state:

State Farm Florida policyholders love this company, its customer service, the multiline discounts, and the overall speed at which the company responded to the Florida hurricanes of 2004/2005.

When State Farm Florida policyholders are asked to rate their satisfaction with State Farm on a scale of "1-10" many give them a satisfaction rating of "10" even if their policy is being dropped by the company!

Although State Farm Florida's 47% rate increase was turned down prior to their withdrawal announcement, most of the data that we are collecting says that the annual premiums State Farm Florida policyholders are paying are among the lowest in Florida - due in part to the multi-line discounts for auto, home, and life along with major wind mitigation credits that many customers are receiving.

None of the above changes the fact that State Farm Florida is leaving the Florida home insurance market. Given this reality here are some things that you need to be aware of if you are a customer of State Farm Florida and you want to take action in response to this announcement.

First you need to realize that your State Farm Florida Insurance Agent is not currently allowed to present you with any other Florida home insurance companies for you to consider except for Florida's state run insurance company of last resort - Citizens Property Insurance Corporation - which by its own admission is currently underfunded and overly dependent on borrowing in unfriendly bond markets to pay major hurricane claims.

As you look for companies to replace your State Farm Florida home insurance policy, many of you will be facing increases that range from 70% to over 200% on your annual premium.

Watch for dramatic differences as you move to a new Florida homeowners insurance company - both in terms of the size of the financial surplus it has available to pay your claim and in the headcount it has available for customer service and claims processing. State Farm Florida has more surplus available to pay claims than most of the 40 companies that are still writing new Florida home insurance business combined!

Much of the advice that you've received as a State Farm Florida policyholder has been that you should not take any action now and that you should wait for your Florida home insurance cancellation notice. If you take that advice you could be very sorry in Florida's dysfunctional home insurance market:

For starters, you've heard about many Florida home insurance companies that want to pick up your State Farm Florida home insurance policy. Don't assume that there will be plenty of policies with a new company to go around when your State Farm Florida policy is cancelled.

Some of the companies that initially stated their interest in picking up State Farm Florida policies have tightened up their underwriting guidelines and become more selective about the kind of homes they will accept. Since the State Farm Florida exit announcement, two companies that had expressed interest in taking on some of the policies have had their licenses temporarily suspended.

Many of the State Farm Florida policies being cancelled are homes that were built between 1950 and 1981 - prior to the higher wind standards in the Florida Building Code improvements made in the 1990's - not exactly the kind of homes that Florida home insurance companies are going to be anxious to cover.

Because of the financial shortfalls at both Citizens Property Insurance Corporation and The Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund, if there is a major Florida hurricane during the 2009 season, don't expect any companies to be willing to pick up your policy when State Farm Florida cancels it starting in 2010.

Here's what you should do right now if you are a State Farm Florida home insurance policyholder:

Don't wait for your cancellation notice - start shopping for a new company right now!

Contact multiple Florida independent insurance agents who can present you with multiple home insurance companies and try to find a new policy before the 2009 hurricane season starts on June 1st.

Do in depth research on all of the Florida home insurance companies you are considering. If you receive a letter from a company offering to pick up your policy, don't accept their offer until you have thoroughly investigated them.

Don't accept your State Farm Florida home insurance policy being moved into Citizens Property Insurance Corporation unless you have personally done the research and confirmed that there aren't any private Florida home insurance companies who want to cover your home.

Finally, as someone who knows the score in the Florida homeowners insurance market, you know that finding a new company in Florida has never been easy - from the time of Hurricane Andrew in 1992 and continuing through to today.

That's why you have to start shopping for a new policy now. Don't wait until your State Farm Florida policy is cancelled. If you do, you'll have the unpleasant experience of scrambling and competing with 29,000 other State Farm policyholders who will be looking for a new Florida home insurance policy at the exact same time that you are.

It's a game of musical chairs that you have to avoid at all costs!
